Cakvala still alive been milling around in EQ lately with a healer merc no one i know is on Xegony anymore is there anyone still al ive on Seventh Hammer?

Been trying to solo the Fabeled Sontalak in WW so far i can do all the other Fabeled but him

Yes, and no.

Every few months you'll get the tell saying "name looks familiar, are you from lanys". But you rarely really even bump into them unless you make it a point to. Amazon Storm is about the only recognizable guild name still in existence, every blue moon you may run past an old tag, but that's usually an alt holding the guild name, at best. The 3 mergers have done their job in erasing most of Lanys' history.

I see i just figured Id ask before I look around, xegony is fine but anyone i knew there is long gone now.

Don't get me wrong there are still a number of people there. Mathi, Youoway, Daktarr for instance. I'm sure there are more, as well as people who switched mains, Cinda. There's just not that guild from Lanys that still collectively has any majority of players from the server anymore.

I should give Mathi and Daktarr a message then Thank you for the input Tuluvian!

I'm still there but I don't play very often.

Kind of a late reply, and I wasn't a well known name back in the day, but I started playing again full time in November. I'm one of those who has alts still tagged Oryx and my old main, Derfeld, is still tagged Aphelion.. I know of a few former Oryx that are currently playing, Farfal and Tealeon, and know and have run into others from lanys who are playing. I rerolled a zerker named Derfael. What I hate about having rerolled is not being able to have the suffix title of "of Lanys T'Vyl".

Yeah the of Lanys T'vyl surname tag is lost when you reroll.

there is a command you can type on new servers that let you pick whatever "of server" title you wish.

I made a char on Vulak (one of the recent prog servers) and was seeing folks run around with Soandso of Test/Cazic/Vallon, etc and freaked when i realized how they did it.

was something like /resetserver <servername> or some stuff, i could be WAY off as I did it months ago and forgot

It's amazing people still play EQ after all these years. How is the game going btw? Still alive and doing well?

I'm still kind of wondering around on EQ Seventh Hammer, still have my 70 lvl ranger Wildiiana, but don't play her much, I log her in and just kind of wonder around, not sure where to go to lvl, and seems a bit lonely with none of the old names around, I did try the progession servers, but just wasnt the same, everyone rushed to max lvl, then shout out they are bored, or auction junk stuff for 2K, no effert to set up a community.

I have a few alts on 7th too, Jolenarr ( 57 druid ), Jollanar,( 14 Necro ) Arwen (66 cleric just sitting there) I do see a few Lanys server tags run around.

But the game doesnt like my new computer to well, I get alot of push backs in some zones, takes me forever to get through some zones, think I got a computer that is to powerful for the game. and some of my maps dont show up when I do the M key.

Some maps wont be there in the initial eq download , iirc. Download maps from mapfiend.net or individual expansion maps from raspers.

For lvl 70 ranger, max out headshot and go to poFire or lost gnome dodh task (3 person task, can use a merc as a 2nd person). Other options would be to go to the hotzones start at 70 since that lvl and get a feel, if you can solo too easily move to the 75, if you're having problems w/ the 70 go to the 65. Do what you can solo for the SoD progression tasks to raise your available merc tier, since on lanys/7th/tunare you can bug me if you see me on, if not busy I can either run you through some, or point you in a direction easy enough.

As for how's eq doing... it's still alive but for doing well.. it depends on what the devs aren't breaking on good days, and which class is currently under the devs radar as far as overpowered/underpowered.

There is still a good amount of Lany's folks still playing but now we are on Tunare. Finally found these boards again...

I havent logged in for a few months, been playing Diablo III / Starcraft II. But I am on Tunare with the rest of the Lanys folks.
