Position: Community Relations Manager
Location: San Diego
SOE San Diego currently has an opening for a Community Relations Manager. This position will work within the Community Relations Team, in cooperation with Development Teams, Customer Service, Marketing and Public Relations for any assigned SOE products. Duties may include conducting research, writing articles, maintaining metrics, running contests and tournaments, participating in community outreach programs and social media, assisting in forum moderation, and reporting community feedback.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a liaison between the player community and internal partners.
- Collect and collate community feedback for Development and other partners. Provide regular, timely and professional reports on community trends.
- Develop and publish articles, forum posts, patch notes, and other forms of regular communication to engage the community on our websites and in social media.
- Plan, administer and run contests, promotions, tournaments and live events, in game and out of game.
- Work effectively with Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Service, Development, and other partners to create and coordinate messaging, launch and promotional plans.
- Represent the Community Team, SOE and its products in a positive manner, internally and externally.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with fan sites.
- Assist with Community needs for all SOE products as necessary, in a collaborative work environment.
REQUIREMENTS: - Excellent creative writing, documentation and editing skills.
- Strong organization and management skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to think on your feet and react quickly to changing situations and last-minute requests.
- Team player who enjoys collaboration and group projects.
- Self motivation, initiative and enthusiasm a must.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint a must.
- Familiarity with online games on PC, Facebook and console.
- In-depth knowledge of SOE games a plus.
- Experience with CRM practices, Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver, HTML, social media a plus.
- Degree in Journalism, English, Media or related fields preferred.
