Wow, that's pretty cool.

But wait- no one is supposed to die in GI Joe! I saw lots of people die in this!

Duke was originally supposed to die in G.I. Joe The Movie but they decided to just put him in a coma and kill Optimus Prime instead.

And what the fuck, the U.S.S. Flag? That shit got sunk. I remember my mom buying me that thing and they sunk it like two episodes later.

Thank you for that link! That was very awesome. Brought back lots of memories from my childhood days. Always a fan of Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, as was most...

I was odd that whenever I played with my toys, it was never GI Joe vs Cobra. It was always GI Joe/Cobra vs Star Wars. Star Wars usually won LOL :)

I assume these cartoon shorts are being released much in the same way that the Clone Wars shorts were released before SW Episode 2, and the Animatrix was released right before the Matrix: Revolutions.

That is, leading up to:

I thought the Transformers movie was pretty entertaining.

The forced comedy and the "serious" camera time of the real life actors ruined it for me. There are very few times where I will actually ask for more CGI and less human acting, that type of movie is one of those very rare times. I mean, come on, the transformers were frolicking around a backyard for like 1/3rd of the movie. =x

The biggest problem I have with the Transformers reboot:

A...I agree. There is just way too much dependency on the humans in this. I didn't give two shits about the stupid annoying bitch's juvi record and the whole thing was forced.

B...The whole language thing, bullshit. Too distracting.

C...I very very much dislike the design and how they look and move. Don't care if its supposed to modernize them. They look like shit.

D...The battles were way too distracting. Too much shit going on in the background/foreground to really get into it. They were also too fucking short.

E...Optimus vs Megatron. Pathetic. It is sad how the same fight took place 23 years ago in a cartoon and felt a billion times more epic. The One Shall Stand line was horrible here.

And Bumblebee was shit.

Watched the full thing last night (which ended up being only about 10 minutes longer than what was already on the adult swim site) and it was pretty good. Much better than what I remember from childhood.

Cobra Commander could take over the world in about 5 minutes if he had flunkies that could shoot straight. Two joes, in the middle of a room, no cover, stationary (but omg rotating!), surrounded by cobras with automatic weapons (who even start shooting first), yet the cobras lose.

Except for Shipwreck and Alpine. They always get whatever vehicle they are in shot the fuck up. Especially Shipwreck. He was so god damn useless. It was a safe bet also that whatever the Dreadnoughts were driving was going to be blown to hell before all was said and done.

So far, The Baroness is the only reason I see to go watch this movie.
