Looking for a box-style pencil case from my yester-year. 4" by 1" by about 10", it looked like this:



And had a series of popout compartments or features controlled by a bank of buttons down the right hand side of its face.

Anyone know where I might get one these days? I've checked disney and sanrio and teh googles, but all I can find is other people talking about the same case.

Well, found a really odd one that looks close to what you describe.

That's similar in appearance, but the side-panel instead of being a second compartment was a row of buttons. Further, the pencils slid into a sleeve that rose when you opened the lid.

I -know- someone else here has to have had one as a kid.

I bought my son one a few years ago at walmart.

I also had one of those in my youth. It was the coolest shit ever. I think my mom bought it at K-Mart or something. I scoured the internets, to no avail. I did find a cool ass WALL-E one though.
