Great review. Do any of you actually use a mechanical keyboard? I've thought about going that route recently but the idea of massive clacking keys has really put me off. From that review it seems that a Cherry Black doesn't make much noise though...hmm.

What I found interesting was the explanation of the differences between USB and PS/2. I had no idea about the electrical matrix limitations and how it can really effect gaming.

I heart mechanical keyboards for everything but their noise level.

I've never used anything but the old clacky IBM keyboards and will use them until they pry them from my cold dead fingers.

The reason has more to do with the fact that I write and "writing should be noisy" to someone who grew up writing his stories on a typewriter and had a mother that was a medical secretary. There was ALWAYS the "clack clack clack" noise going on somewhere. It's my version of "eccentric old guy behavior". :p

People on our vent server are always like "WTF IS THAT" when me or the husband talks and I am batting at keys. heh.

I don't think I could handle that Rugen. Sometimes I need to type while recording podcasts or livestreaming etc. Gonna have to stick with my G15 for now. Thanks for the help!
