I'm in the process of blueprinting a new system.
These (edit: fixed link) are the components I'm leaning towards right now. I am not on top of hardware these days, so advice is very welcome.
Of note:
- I'm following the "best bang for your buck" guideline; I don't have a particular budget in mind.
- I will be installing a PSU and optical drive I already own.
- I might play with OCing the CPU (and GPU?).
- A little wary of a 64GB boot drive, but I've currently a 74GB one and I think I'll manage.
- I know we have some ibuypower advocates on the forum and I looked over that. Price was pretty good, but they'd be selling me some components I don't want (PSU/optical drive), I hate every single one of their cases, and they take a while to build the system (whereas mine is having very severe problems now - it's semi-inoperable - so immediacy is key). This is why I'm leaning towards building a system.
