What does this button do?

I know there is something simple I am missing.

My router (linksys wrt54g v4)stopped working, so I reset it and set it up in secure mode with a password and it works fine now. The only issue is that when my wife searches for it with her Ipod touch she can't see it. If she types in the name and enters the password it works fine.

What setting is it that makes it invisible when searching for networks?
