So I have a small computer lab in my house (2 workstations, a server, and a laptop). I have a nice surround sound system off my main workstation, but am not wanting to buy a set of speakers for each machine since they're so close to each other.

Does anyone know of a hardware or software solution to networking your speakers? These are Windows machines. I would like the sound to be able to played simultaneously, rather than using something like a KVM switch.

On windows, afaik, this is not possible (yet)

On linux, pulseaudio will do exactly what you describe.

For them to work simultaneously, you'd probably need a mixer and it would be expensive.
