I go to go onto a website this morning and below the sites name is a link that says "this site may harm your computer"....yet it says that for anything I search. I click the link for the actual site and I'm on some google page that says

"Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!
Suggestions:

* Return to the previous page and pick another result.
* Try another search to find what you're looking for.

Or you can continue to http://www.rguns.net/ at your own risk. For detailed information about the problems we found, visit Google's Safe Browsing diagnostic page for this site.

For more information about how to protect yourself from harmful software online, you can visit StopBadware.org.

If you are the owner of this web site, you can request a review of your site using Google's Webmaster Tools. More information about the review process is available in Google's Webmaster Help Center.

It says this for any site I look up and won't allow me to get to the actual site. I only got to the lanys board because it was on my favorites.

Draagun posted a pic with this same thing in General.

It doesnt happen on either of my computers I tried, one running win2k one running Vista.

Could it be a virus of some type?

Edit: Rereading your post, it really sounds like some adware or virus that is trying to redirect you to that site.

It wasn't a virus, you just didn't catch it in the 20 or so minutes that it was doing it to every site that came up on google search.

It was a google problem.

It was funny though to watch some groups go fucking BATSHIT over it. A bunch of rightwinger sites apparently thought it was JUST rightwinger sights and there was a whirlwind of 'Google conspiracy against the right wing!!!1111' shit flying around this morning.

I LOL'd. Tin foil hat people make my day.
