Doing long installs and SQL work today so I was curious what I would need to do in setting up a Ventrilo server.

I have a spare machine and behind a Linksys router. Just wanting something to read up on and tinker with at work. They have nearly everything blocked internet wise here but somehow I can get to Lanys (no Fires of Heaven though).

The current version only allows 8 people.

If you can find an old copy of the 2.3 server you could run it for unlimited people and they'd also have to have the 2.3 client.

It's oddly the same here. Apparently enough posting is done on other topics that this doesn't get flagged as a 'gaming' site.

Any instructions that could be pasted in here? I'm even getting stuck on my Google "cache". That is usually such a good way around Websense when needing to look up something.

I've got a copy of the client, that can be installed along side the current version, but I don't have the server.
