I have Firefox 3 on my laptop. I've noticed that, on occasion, when I click a link it tries to download the page. No viruses or anything - for example, when I clicked to go to my google inbox, it tried to download something like inbox.htm. (something along those lines).

I don't know what's causing this or how to get it to stop. I'm not selecting "save link as" or whatnot...but it's a pain in the ass.

That'll sometimes happen when the page you're trying to view doesn't load properly. Your browser will think it's not a page that can be displayed in the browser and try to save it. It could be a communication error.

That's odd. It happened like 3 or 4 times yesterday. Very annoying.

I've had similar where it gets a "file not found" on the page. It's as if the page isn't programmed for firefox.
