Does anyone think the 9800GTX will be worth the 90 extra bucks over the 8800GTS G92? I was planning to use it to connect to my 40" LCD Screen and my current 7900GS is showing its age and on top of that the 7900 was free so I think it's time I spent my own cash.

I know the 8800GTX does better on higher resolutions then the GTS G92 but it's only by a couple of frames and the GTX costs 150-200 more then the GTS.

I was looking into getting this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130325
but with the new 9800GTX coming out next week I am hesitant. I guess I could always use the EVGA Step up program, anyone ever use that before?

I'd not get a 9x series yet personally.. just because it's new and overpriced~

I agree with you on the GX2 but the GTX has the rumored price of 350 which is about 90 more then the 8800GTS G92. I kinda like the fact it will have an HDMI port with SPDIF.

The 8800 increased my 3Dmark06 score over 50% from the 7900gs

Not to flaunt my lack of being at the top for video cards but I went from a Radeon x700 to a Nvidia 8500GT was a big difference.
