1) No requests for information on how to freely obtain commercial software, music or movies.
This includes any and all information regarding where to find torrents. If you need assistance in setting your port forwarding, then that's a different story, but no "omg, where can I find teh moviez?" The same goes for commerical software.

2) Please attempt to do some independent research before posting your question(s)
Google is your friend. A properly phrased question will most likely yield the answer you're looking for in the first five results. Typically all you will need to do is put in the application name and an error message.

3) Please post your operating system and basic hardware specifications.
When posting a problem with a certain application, please include your operating system version (example: if you are running windows xp, please specify whether you have service pack two installed), your CPU speed, the amount of RAM in your system, your video card type, etc.

4) If you are experiencing problems with your video in games, please install the latest drivers for the card before posting. The same goes if you are running "unofficial third party drivers" like Omega. While these do work well for most people, they tend to cause support nightmares.

Yeah it was in the ToS of Ezboard but it's not Ezboard anymore, and linking to a torrent site in itself if not illegal. But we had to conform since it was their policy.

heh, I made it mostly to protect cak ;p working for a web hosting company you find a lot of interesting C&D letters just because a torrent site's referrer log has a site you host on it.

It's mostly a CYA thing.

Just don't post them publically. Take them to PMs or contact someone from the forum on instant messenger if that's what you're looking for.

Before, we had ezboard's TOS to deal with, now we don't currently have one, so the rules are more of a "Cover everyone's ass" deal, since anyone who moderates a forum can/will be held liable by the RIAA/MPAA/BSA (I've seen it happen)

- Warez Sites
- Torrent Sites
- or any site that can/will install 3rd party software on your computer without prior knowledge.
