I was actually really impressed with how well it narrowed down less than "standard" characters from novels and movies.

I'm smarter than the Internet. I was thinking of Scorpia (from She-Ra) and it declared himself defeated after 32 questions!

I stumped him with Dain Frostreaver IV.

But guess that is impossible to do now since he knows of the character.

Emperor Ssraeshza > Akinator!!!

Muhahahaahh!!

I tried something a little less obscure (Han Solo) and he guessed it in like 7 questions. Not bad. Tried Alexander the Great, and he got that one in no time as well.

It got Simon Snowlocke (Seomen) in 38 questions. Not bad, considering some of the questions were a bit too vague to answer.

I used Rod Blagoavich (however you spell it) and he got it after about 10 questions. What was interesting to me is that the questions didn't ever get specific enough for me to think it had narrowed it to him.

Yeah, that's pretty impressive.

I tried a bunch of different characters from the Illiad/Odyssey, especially ones with similiar positions and such thinking it might have a near-miss (Odysseus/Agamemnon both being kings, both being in a war, etc) and it still narrowed it down really quickly before I had thought it was even close.

Tried a couple of characters from Thieves World and it was clueless. It may be due to the fact that many of the characters are good and evil at the same time.

Had no problem guessing Mariusz Pudzianowski (5 time world's strongest man) and Steve Harris (bassist of Iron Maiden). Very impressed.

Worthy: He probably would have guessed it a lot sooner if you didn't miss little details like "Is he over 50" ;)

Even with very few "I don't know" answers, he failed to get Isaac Asimov, which disappoints me.

he was 72 when he died, so yes, he would have been "over 50"

That's a cool website. It got Einstein in only 16 yes or no questions. Pretty freaking amazing.

Of course, you'll stump it 100% of the time if you pick someone that it hasn't heard of yet.

My wife picked a bunch of obscure cartoon characters from way way back and it didn't get any of them, but then she "taught" it about them and bam, it was getting it quickly from then on. ;)

I stumped him with "Applecore" from Tad Williams' War of the Flowers. I was impressed, however, when I saw the name "Leetah" from the Elfquest series I read back in like 2nd grade lol.
