Reading that Q/A reminds me when i first saw HD 1080p TV showing Pirates of the Caribbean, was so very unreal. But now, I am use to it.

The whole shakey cam found footage movies are far worse. I've seen 48fps videos in museums and it didn't make me feel sick at all.

I so agree, those shakey cam ones make me sick!

So I saw the Hobbit in 48 FPS and I must say it was strange. For the first 30 minutes I thought I was watching a cheesy low budget version of the hobbit. The indoor scenes look horrible. They look like movie sets, badly filmed movie sets. It is so bad that it completely distracts from the story and for me the ability to enjoy the movie. I couldn't really see that much of a difference with the outdoor scenes and my brain seemed to adjust a bit after awhile but if I had to recommend on a first viewing it would be the 24 fps version.

I hear this movie is pretty boring and shouldn't be 3 hours long.
