He was mentally fifteen originally, so there's not much difference.

I don't get why every new 'toon that comes out simply HAS to look like anime, or something drawn by a 5 year old kid.

Compared to the old version, you mean? Regardless of our individual tastes in aesthetics, just look at the difference in Cheetara's there. If you can look at me with a straight face and tell me there's greater attention to detail in the LEFT picture, well.. I'll laugh. Even someone unfamiliar with the craft can tell you the right one required superior craftsmanship via varied use of color, more shading, more lines of distinguishment. Anime isn't bad work, it's just another style, regardless of how many teenie weenies watch it.

Frankly calling the left one work done by a 5-year-old is a pretty big disservice as well, especially considering the timeline and gradual development of common art techs that worked their way into the medium. Animation has come quite a way, imo, and I still don't expect The Last Judgement for every frame. Maybe Larreth does =p

No no hehe, I was referring to the newer Thundercats stuff looking like anime but was making a statement about so many of the other kids shows out there that are very simplistic in their style.

I believe the original stuff was done in Japan as well. I remember sitting there as a kid wondering what was with all the strange names in the credits.

They could have use the old models with the new drawing techniques to make it even better I agree with that.
