Post subject:  Doctor Who (season 6)
So, who's watching?

Talk about a hell of an entrance. Right from the get go, the entire arc is laid out...and the question becomes, are they supposed to avoid it or are they supposed to let it happen? heh.

There's a theory floating around the net, that when I heard Moffat's interview where he said "this season the Doctor definitely finds out who River is", made perfect sense to me. The theory?

River Song is Rory and Amy's daughter.

Given that we don't actually know what year River Song grew up in (she's never said and she clearly time travels a lot after her experiences with the Doctor), that it is apparent Amy's being pregnant is a large detail for this season...along with everything else... and Moffat's little smile when he made that statement about us finding out exactly who River Song is. I dunno, it seems like the kind of answer that isn't an answer he'd like. He knows we all want to know who she killed (ie, the Doctor :p) and why, but he's going to give us another answer about exactly who she is, and that theory fits it perfectly. The River we have in the show at the moment was ALREADY in jail, so we won't see what we're expecting to see.


Anyway...for you folks that haven't gotten on board with the Doctor Who reboot? Netflix now has all of the previous seasons on instant play/queue. If you're curious what it is like, do yourself a favor and load up Season 3, episode 11 (named "Blink") for a small taste of what the story is like that won't spoil you to any of the overall arcs.
