Girlfriend opted to go see it, so we went.

First and foremost: First half is good, however:

I do not suggest this for a valentines day flick as (without giving away much) there is a huge unromantic twist and a whole bunch of awkward scenes in the later portion of the movie. Perhaps It was just me, and another dozen folks leaving the theater, girlfriend included, but we ended the movie on a "wtf" more than anything. I haven't read the book, but from what I have heard it isn't the same ending in the movie as what was written.

Anyone else?

Ahh. So..what, the guy comes back all whacked out with PSTD and is too fucked up for her to deal with anymore, tears, heartbreak and that sort of stuff? =P
