So today I read
this article, which says the end of free TV is over for those of us who don't subscribe to cable/satellite. (At this moment in time, I enjoy my free NBC, CBS and Fox...nothing else is within range.)
I know in the past many people (sometimes even on these forums) have mentioned they'd love a way to pay for individual stations, instead of getting all the crappy ones. (We have 100000 stations...but you'll only watch 10!!!)
So for fun I thought I'd ask what stations you would want if you could pick them out, one by one. (I'm not going to count the already premium channels like HBO, Showtime, etc.)
My list:
ABC
CBS
NBC
Fox
CW
TBS (Hey, sometimes they have OK movies!)
FX
ABC Family
Cartoon Network
Nick
Disney (Keeping my 6-year-old in mind!)
USA
TNT
AMC
Discovery
Animal Planet
SciFi (Syfy is such a stupid name), but only if Caprica is decent
I'm probably missing one or two, but this is really all my kid and I would watch something on, I think. Everything is just a waste of space.
PS - The smilies suck and somehow cause this entire page to lag as I type text. Don't need 5,000,000 of them to show up on the screen. Anyone know how to turn it off? Thx.
