I'm a big fan of Disney, have been forever and the first thing I thought of when I read this news, having just visited Disneyland, is they'll be able to do some sweet attractions with their new portfolio of characters!

I'm curious to see how the acquisition will affect the Marvel movies and if more will be released as a result.

I have my fingers crossed.

Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando has a bunch of Marvel themed rides - X-men, spiderman and such (that's Marvel right?). I'd be shocked if they didn't have some sort of longterm rights to use them, so don't get your hopes up.

Hopefully this will not compromise the prevailing mediocrity of the Marvel movies.

Disney is well known for just buying a franchise and leaving it still separate from the disney line.
