Just finished watching it. Thought it pretty much sucked except for a couple of the incidents. I thought the nuke going off in LA was pretty good, although I'm not sure how they top that.

But overall, it pretty much rehashed everything the previous seasons did. Which, I guess has been true since season 3. Although, I really enjoyed season 5. It's probably my pick for "best" other than the semi-lame tape recorded confession from President Logan.

This is the 3rd President to die or be targetted, there are constantly moles/infiltrations into CTU, etc. But, what irritated me was what I felt was the overall laziness of the whole thing. I realize there is a limitation to what they can do, but I was fatigued with the constant predictable scenarios. In season 5, I at least felt there was some shake-up and I enjoyed some of the scenarios.

And, I was annoyed with yet another "sad" ending. I don't need super-happy-perfect ending, but can't we at least wrap up on an upbeat once?

Anyhoo.... no point.

I think I saw the first three to four seasons with my parents a few years back. My favorite was the first.

Haven't really cared to keep up with the show. :\

season 7 was a good first half and then got continuously more boring as it went on, ending with a nice action sequence and then a yawn.

i'll watch season 8 just because i won't change my dvr timer, but i'm not really interested in this show anymore.

Season 6 had way too much happening in one 24 hour period. Nuke in LA -> Find remaining nukes -> Another president attack -> Jack's Dad and Brother thing -> Asian computer thingie -> big MEH at end. Just WAY too much to suspend belief. If they would have taken the whole Asian line out of it and developed the find the nuke storyline then it probably could have been better.

Season 7, IMO, was better than season 6. At least the story kept on a somewhat straight line (at least for 24 writers) stop small fish, larger fish retaliates, larger fish get stopped, even bigger fish retaliates, even bigger fish get stopped, Main dude gets pissed and retaliates, finally main dude is captured.

Is it safe to say 24 nuked the shark?

The end of season 5 was pretty much a shark moment. I thought it was a cop-out. Season 6 was actually cool for the first 6-7 hours, but got lame after that.

I hope Season 7 is decent. It's on Blu Ray at least
