I watched the first two episodes on Hulu last night. It was decent, if you know what you're getting.

It's a BBC production that gets aired in the UK in the same time slot as Torchwood, Dr. Who, Robin Hood, etc. It is basically Arthurian Smallville, with huge liberties taken with traditional Arthuriana that would drive your average Medieval Studies major crazy, and a BBC special effects budget (i.e. cheesy).

Overall, it is more Xena than The Tudors, light popcorn fare good for older kids but possibly a little scary for young kids. Very PG thus far, and a decent way to kill an hour, enjoyable but not especially memorable.

the CGI they showed in the previews looked terrible, but knowing that it's a BBC joint kind of explains that. still, for something they're hitting as hard as they are, you'd think the things floating would look less terrible

I watched the first two episodes as well. Not OMG bestest show EVAH!!!11 good but not horribly unwatchable. I might just set the DVR to record it for when I don't have anything else to watch

It's Dawson Creek set in Arthurian legend. I gave up after 4 episodes.

And the footage of the dragon was their entire CGI budget. Watch week after week how they can use that same footage of the dragon flying down over and over and over and over

I watched the first season, and I enjoyed it. I, too, compared it to Xena/Hercules, with slightly better acting and dialogue.

The CGI dragon is cheesy, and I agree with Rugen - they seemed to have used the same footage of the dragon flying up each week.
