Yay... I just saw the preview for the next Narnia movie--- I was wondering when we'd see another!

Aye, looks very good and very much along the lines of the book also.

Now, there are 7 books. They did movie 1 on book 2, and this is movie 2 on book 4. Now book 3 didn't have this group of 4 kids- so maybe Disney is sticking with the story line from these kids only?

However they do it, I think they are doing them very well- loved these books as a little girl and know my kids are too. (Do you feel like you are waiting for Anikin Skywalker to walk outta the forest and help out Lucy?)

In my set of Narnia books, the Lion Witch and Wardrobe is the first of the series.

Yeh... I seem to remember Prince Caspian being second as well.

I'm in the minority though, I think. I didn't care for the first movie.

what i want to know is if they'll persist in making the movies after about number five where they stop making a fortune just to complete the series

and yeah i didn't really care for the first one either, but i wasn't a big fan of the books so i suppose the first was about as good as it could have been for a big-budget cgi-a-thon

Carol must have the collection of books that are in chronological order, not the original order cs lewis intended.

It irritates me that I cannot buy a numbered box set in the original order in my local stores. No, we have to start with Magician's Nephew which spoils a great deal of some of the series-long mysteries.

I was thinking they may have to stop them because the kid actors are growing up.

I don't think it's like Harry Potter, where he grows up to be a young adult by the time it's all done, is it?

The primary characters of the books change about every 3 books. It is only about the 4 siblings for the first two, I believe. Then it is the two youngest and their cousin.

The original order is IMHO much better, not chronological order.

I was kinda meh on the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. It was good, but I don't know, you don't get the same feeling for Aslan in the movie that I got from the books.

The kids though were *amazing*, in particular Lucy and Edmund.

Disliked the first with a passion, and wont waste my time on the second. Though, Lion, Witch, Etc. wasn't as bad as the Golden Compass.

And yes, I have read the books corresponding to the movies.
