also in Life Aquatic when Bill Murray kicks the pirates off his ship, and the scene at Max's mother's grave in Rushmore, and the first repeated morning in Groundhog Day. I'm sorry, but only scenes with Bill Murray are the kind I like.

This scene has 3 parts:

The movie is Four Rooms (and pretty forgettable other than this scene and some titties in earlier scenes).

my favorite scene in four rooms isn't even one of the rooms - the "hello betty" scene.

this one:

I love long, well written dialogue and monologues in movies. A few that come to mind right away are:

1) Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross. Probably one of my top 3 all time favorite scenes, such classic lines such as "third place is - you're fired" and "coffee's for closers"......when it comes to the written word, David Mamet is genius:

2) Another great monologue is Matt Damon from Good will Hunting, when Will answers why he doesn't think working for the NSA would be such a good idea:

3) Has already been posted by Randy......but the gas station scene from No Country From Old Men. Literally this is what movie-going should be about. The tension built up in that scene, watching it on the big screen.....just wow. Easily the most memorable and best scene for me from any movie in 2007, and probably in the last few years. [EDIT]: I found a longer version than Randy's clip, it does the scene greater justice, although still nothing like viewing it on the big screen:

EDIT: WTB help embedding videos, thanks!

I always loved the scene in Heat where they get caught just after the bank robbery. The action and sound is just insane.

Probably going to mark myself as a terrible sap, but one of my favorite movie moments is in Stranger than Fiction, when he gives the anarchist baker "flours".

I didn't want to see Stranger than Fiction, but ended up thinking it was one of the more enjoyable movies of the year. Original and light hearted. Sometimes I enjoy them more when I have such low expectations going in though.

This isn't my all time favorite, but it's a scene that has me almost pissing myself every time I see it:
