i am on a reading kick now. going through some old novels i have on the bookcase; however, i would like to get a couple newer titles as well. anyone read anything lately that came out recently that is highly recommended?

looking for horror/suspense type of work, a la stephen king-ish... since that is what my novel is as far as genre work goes... thanks in advance!
