They might extend a grace period, would only have to be to the 22nd or 23rd by most accounts. It would be kinda stupid not to as a good chunk of the people waiting on delivery ordered the CE.

They'll have to do a grace period for physical pre-orders.

I did the CE, and amazon probably won't get it on my doorstep until the 21, unless they pull release day shipping out of their ass.

Amazon.com upgraded my shipping to their "Release Day" option, and I will have it on Dec 20th.

Ill head to gamestop on the 20th after work to pick it up. Already contacted them to be sure id have me CE for release day since i read about all the shit preorder codes that were released.

I preordered from Amazon a while back and received a code within 24 hours. Wouldn't the code be enough to get me in the game until the physical copied arrived? I've never experienced any issues with ordering from Amazon...

That code is for the head start and pre-order bonuses. The actual game code is inside the box and that is what they're requiring to play on and after the 20th.

So not only will you have to wait until the 20th, you'll spend an hour installing from DVD, then however long patching as well? That really sucks.

So glad I got the digital deluxe. I'm not sure I've ever bought a CE of any sort.

You can download and patch the client right now if you have a pre-order key (which everyone pretty much does). I pre-ordered for a friend today as an Xmas preset and he got the key within minutes and has already installed and is patching up now. So at least the install/patch at release won't be issue at release.

What version of the launcher/game is the pre load download? I figure the beta client will just patch itself up and don't want to have to re-download this beast.

If you played after November 25th, then you do not need to re-download. If you played before that, uninstall the client, download and install the client from above.

Duh...I should have came here first. I just deleted the 20 something gig file because I got an email from SWTOR telling me to delete the beta build. I might celebrate by playing Knights of the Old Republic this weekend.

Btw, does anyone have Lego set #10179 (collectors edition Falcon) for sale? I can't buy one for less than $1500 it seems. It's one of the few that I'm missing for my Lego Star Wars collection.

Amazon doesn't have release day shipping available for the CE, at least not on my order

I contacted their customer service and they said that may change, but it's unlikely.

Not true for Amazon Prime users. I have Release Day for my shipping, and it will be here on Dec 20th. Since I order a lot online from them, it's a savings to be with their Prime services for shipping costs.

I've had prime since it was available. The best I can get is "next day"

Did you order the CE or the regular edition?

If I were to pre-order the regular edition now, "release day" shipping is an option. Since Amazon isn't selling the CE anymore I can't check.

I have Prime, got release day shipping for my CE and my wife's standard. In fact, just the other day I ordered it for a friend (standard), and got release day shipping as well.
