I tore through a bunch of threads to see what folks are going to play, but it's all over the place. Can we have a single thread for people to list the class and/or guild they are looking at playing with when the game comes out?

I'll probably play a Sith Inquisitor, although I could be persuaded to try something else if there is a "Lanys guild" that is looking to play primarily on one side or the other.

There are several guilds being discussed in the FB group, but none are a fully "Lanys" guild.

I'm probably going to play either a Sith Assassin or a Sith Marauder.

Bounty Hunter / Mercenary

My wife is gonna be a healer of some sort, not sure yet. So my faction choice will revolve around which class she picks for aethestic purposes.

I had planned on playing either a Shadow or Assassin based on which faction we ended up on, but the more I read about them the more they sound like straight copy-pastes of WoW rogues. (Even have Stealth, Sprint, Sap, Cheap Shot, Backstab, etc. Uses Energy and has Finishing moves.) So now I'm not so sure. It seems like they saved a lot of the innovative stuff for the non-Jedi classes, I guess to make them cool enough to play, so I might end up with one of those!

I was set on Smuggler before I tested the game. But since I didn't want to spoil Smuggler when I started testing, I picked everything but Smuggler to test and fell in love with Trooper Commando. I'll probably play that on release. He was very fun to play, both in PVE and PVP.

Planned to play a Sith inquisitor Sorcerer BUT now i have friends that i raided with in wow that want me to play republic side and im trying to find a guild to raid with but most seem to be nub ran no MMO experience people who want to shoot for server firsts. Id prefer to play empire myself, thinking of saying screw them and sticking to a pureblood lol.

I got a BH high enough on the last beta to know I enjoy it. I think I will try another class this time around to make sure that's what I want to play.

I had a lot of fun with the bounty hunter on the first weekend beta. The next one though i tried a SI and loved it.

Yeah.. I dunno. I really intend to play most of the classes. The lure of the heavy armor and guns is just too much, though. Trooper would be my first choice but I prefer Empire.

Sadly, I based a lot of my initial decision on the progression videos on the official site. The BH armor just looks really cool.

Smuggler probably.

Then I played a Sith Warrior this beta, and an Imperial Agent. I'm so fucking torn now =/

haha me too, and I love the Smuggler class, and I love the Bounty Hunter class too LOL. I'm going to try a few more tomorrow but this game will own for alts. The stories are a lot of fun to play thur...just to know what will happen next

In the past 2 beta weekends, I've tried out most classes and found them all enjoyable in their own way.
Will probably settle on a Jedi or Sith class - allegiance depending on what the Lanys guild(s) go with. Either Mara/Sent, or Shadow/Assassin most likely.

It's also very much dependant on my getting a new video card. Lag this weekend especially has really made my framerate suffer.

Agent > Smuggler, so I'm going Empire.. Imperial storylines destroy Republic ones. On top of that, Coruscant can go eat a dick.

I wish the Bounty Hunter voice acting wasn't so bad. Agent and trooper have been my favorite storylines so far up through level 10.

claudia black does the voice of the female sith warrior. That's almost enough to get me to play one almost exclusively.

edit: that is to say that the internet says it's her, and it certainly SOUNDS like her.

My girlfriend is playing a Sith Inquisitor (Probably assassin spec) and I am playing Agent (Operative spec). This'll be my first time healing in a live mmo (Ran operative on the beta this weekend and did well enough in groups that people were asking me to run more missions with them, so while not great yet I'm viable). I plan on sticking with it on live. Also this way she and I can both stealth.

So I decided to expand my horizon over the weekend and tried out a couple of republic classes. The jedi sage story line sucked ass. The troopers story was awesome. The class it self is beastly as well. Gotta love the giant assault cannon. But ill likely stick to the inquisitor on the empire side on release.

Took me forever to put groups together fora elite quests on republic side with so many people on. Sith side in smaller betas it only took minutes.

Yeah it was weird on the republic side. There were a lot of people, but finding a group took forever for some reason. I keep hearing that the Trooper's story owns, but I did not play the class because I want to save content for retail.

I did play the Bounty Hunter (loving the story here), Smuggler (fun story as well), and the Jedi Consular. The Consular's story is the weaker of the three, but seemed more interesting after I left the first planet. I never got that far into the story line on Coruscant tho.

For launch, I'm most likely going with the Bounty Hunter because the class is a blast to play. But so is the Smuggler and Sith Inquisitor lol. I see myself playing a lot of classes in SW:TOR!
