I apped to and got accepted into a Imperial guild.. It has about 60-70 people in it. Hope I get a beta invite.

I also found that I never attached my pre-order CD key to my SWTOR.com account, so I did that today also.

No droid players, but there are a few different droid companions based on class...including a newer HK model droid...

I tried to pick your guild as an ally neesha, but apparently there are limits to how many you can select. Perhaps we'll all get on the same server since it's all one convoluted love triangle. I know Second covenant is also in there.

Got into the testing for this weekend. I have to say, the biggest surprise for me was the pacing of combat.

All the videos I watched must have been from the perspective of some keyboard turning clicker because they seemed very clumsy and slow paced. Once I actually started playing my little Sith Warrior though, it seemed very fast paced. The combat animations and the way they interact are very nice as well.

I'm a lv10 Sith Inquisitor, very fun game. Next class will be Jedi Consular and see what I want to play. The first empire instance is fun and challenging on the boss.

Crazy but this game is smoother in testing then any other game at release.

I have the ATI 11.9 catalyst drivers, and my FPS is ~50, but my ms is at 100+. Connection is at 4 bars. My server must be too crowded.

They're all too crowded, that was the point of this weekend. :P

My ping is at 24ms though and I've had no lag at all, graphical, network or otherwise.

How's the "openness" of the game world? Traditionally Bioware has made fairly restrictive-feeling worlds in ME and Dragon Age, with artificial barriers abound all over the map as well as small confining areas. While every area felt like it had a purpose, it also gave far less of an open feel than say, Fallout 3 or Elder Scrolls.

In other words, are you led down bunches of corridors, or is the world wide open? WoW, for example, felt pretty open as an MMORPG for the most part, even if imperfect, especially after flying was implemented.

It's pretty open -- questing takes you on rails a little (especially if you're following the plot quests almost exclusively, as I am), but there are side quests all over the freaking place.
