Ok... so where is everyone heading? I've thought about Open RvR but may stick to core servers the first time around.

Stick to Core.

The only thing the Open RvR ruleset sets up is ganking. By going Open RvR you also lose the bolster buff which makes RvR accessible mid-tier. By the time you reach the endgame, both rulesets are virtually the same; you will just have suffered less douchebaggery in Core.

Anyone heard who is going in what direction? I'll check around. Being pretty involved with PvP over the passed few years I've dealt with most of the major PvP guilds from EQ2. There will definitely some of the whiney, exploiting babies I would like to stay clear.

Guilded up with some decent players on krakka dar who plan on going to (EDIT: wait and see). They raised a good point about picking a server without long queue's.

I think Tyrion has constant queue's, while krakka dar I've never hit a queue on order. Sucks when you need to wait 20-30 just to log on.

not sure on the ORVR, vs CRVR. ORVR just seems like more hassle, but then again you get credit for killing and there is a level requirement.

The guild is Frost Tribe from Lineage 2? They have experience in pvp, so will likely jump onto the "choice" server tomorrow 1pm EST.

Explains initially cap at 1/3, then server say high pop, then they will expand. It makes sense for a roll out, with 60k players hitting it day 1.

Saw CQ is rolling on skull throne but sounded like a decent portion of the hardcore group is staying with WoW.

There are a few of the hardcore pvp guilds that regrouped up for AoC are pretty much all heading for the destruction side so will be intresting. LoTD is order last I heard though.

We had a 4 hr keep battle last night that was just a blast minus the completely ass rape lord keep (ae'n for 2k + KB is just retarded). I finally decided on main as BW and 2box/alt as as a rune priest (great autofollow and insta healer for open RVR at least heh).

Where did all of you CE's end up?!? The rest of us PO's get to land in WAR tomorrow!

Savyia and I ended up picking Azazel due to the horrible que times on the others. We are on the Destruction side look for Exploit or Lunacy if you wind up there.

Azazel has queues now, as expected. Plenty of low pop servers online for at least tonight. But come midnight, the floodgates open!

Hehe I had the collector's edition box in my hands this morning but I just couldn't do it yet. 80 bucks for a couple perks in a game I know nothing about yet just didn't seem worth it.

Gonna wait to see if it goes the way of the conan. Sounds like it's going to be a good game though.

Collector's Edition isn't really worth it. Unless you like the extra real life stuff. If there's one thing Games Workshop has, it's top notch artwork.

Yeah the box was pretty heavy. Couple big ol books in there. Other than that you get some sort of exp booster, a few more faces to pick from and some normally unavailable quests for some items. Doesn't say anything about a mount , pet..etc

All and all though...is this game worth picking up? I heard soooo much crap about AOC and it tanked almost immediately. I hear far more good things about WAR.
