Prohibited and restricted items: What items can and cannot be listed. Lanys Board restrictions are often based on country and state laws, including copyright or trademark laws. However, many restrictions involve the sale of controversial or sensitive items and are not necessarily prohibited by law. The limitations are a result of input by the Lanys Community. Before you list your item, it is a good idea to review the list below to see if it is on the list of what may not be swapped here. Adult Material, Alcohol, Animals and Wildlife Products - [examples include live exotic animals (which are illegal or require licensing and permits), mounted specimens, and ivory], Catalytic Converters, and Test Pipes, Cell Phone (Wireless) Service Contracts, Charity or Fundraising Listings, Clothing, Used Contracts, Cosmetics, Counterfeit Currency and Stamps, Credit Cards, Drugs & Drug Paraphernalia, ,Items Describing Drugs or Drug-like Substances, ALL MEDICATIONS (including OTC, vitamins and suppliments), Electronics, Equipment - examples include cable TV de-scramblers, radar scanners, and traffic signal control devices, Embargoed Goods and Prohibited Countries - (examples include items from Cuba), Firearms, Weapons and Knives - (examples include pepper spray, replicas and stun guns), Hazardous, Restricted, and Perishable Items - (examples include batteries, fireworks, and Freon) Human Parts and Remains, Items Encouraging Illegal Activity – (examples include an eBook describing how to create methamphetamine), Lockpicking Devices, Offensive Material - (examples include ethnically or racially offensive material and Nazi memorabilia), Pesticides Plants (see Weeds and Seeds), Police-Related Items, Political Memorabilia, Prescription Drugs, Prohibited Services, Real Estate, Recalled Items, Slot Machines, Stamps, Stocks, and Other Securities, Stolen Property and Property with Removed Serial Numbers, Surveillance Equipment, Teacher's Edition Textbooks, Tobacco, Travel Completing the sale: Practices that are not allowed involving transactions. For example, accepting payment and sending an item that is significantly different from the item described is not allowed. Lanys Swap Meet ANY ITEM WHICH YOU BELIEVE MAY VIOLATE THE RULES, please talk with an administrator before listing the item. Administration may remove any posting at any time at their discretion. Posters may lose their rights to post in or use this section at any time at discretion of the administration. Administration may allow an exception to be listed in which case there will be an administrative note in the posting (this is not a guarentee of services, merely an allowance to post). The administration and moderation team of the Lanys Boards makes no warranty or guarentees regarding any goods, items or services offered on the forums, so don't come crying to us.
