Dallas will not be in the wild card, but thanks for the optimism. |

I was higher on Atl until they deided to blow up and retool their offensive line which was already average, but there were so many Bengals in Atl's backfield in that first preseason game that I thought Tigers had come off the endangered species list. Ryan could have a very Ben Rothlesberger year of looking up at the sky/dome roof alot with that O-line, especially having to play SF, Seattle def and then a trip to Lambeau in Dec., as well as the fact that they can't beat New Orleans more than once every couple years 3-11 since 2006, plus game against NE. also factor in that they have been HOUSED by mobile QB's ala backup Josh Johson going crazy on them the other night, and they face Cam twice, Russell Wilson and RGIII and Colin Kapernick, then factor in facing Tom Brady, Drew Brees x2 and Aaron Rodgers So I'm more questioning of them than I was at end of last season to say the least, didn't even cover their below avg DEF line and starting rookies at CB... |

Honestly, I wasn't aware that their o-line was depleted. I just figured the additions of Osi and Steven Jackson would be the final pieces to the puzzle. It seems almost every year, there's a surprise in the Super Bowl anyway (San Fran AND Baltimore last year?), so I'll settle for getting one team right. |

Baltimore has lost so much on both sides of the ball that they will have a hard time making the playoffs this year. Dallas will either surprise people and win an weak NFC East with a 9-7 record or fall to another 7-9 season. My picks: AFC North Cincinnati (4) Pittsburgh (WC) Baltimore Cleveland AFC East New England (3) Miami Buffalo NY Jets AFC South Houston (2) Indianapolis Tennessee Jacksonville AFC West Denver (1) Kansas City (WC) San Diego Oakland NFC North Green Bay (2) Chicago Detroit Minnesota NFC East NY Giants (4) Dallas Washington Philadelphia NFC South Atlanta (3) New Orleans (WC) Carolina Tampa Bay NFC West San Francisco (2) Seattle (WC) St. Louis Arizona Playoffs: #6 KC over #3 NE #5 Pittsburgh over #4 Cincinnati #1 Denver over #6 KC #2 Houston over #5 Pittsburgh #2 Houston over #1 Denver #6 New Orleans over #3 Atlanta #5 Seattle over #4 NY Giants #1 SF over #6 NO #5 Seattle over #2 GB #5 Seattle over #1 SF Houston over Seattle in SB Should be interesting with the Super Bowl outside in Giants/Jets stadium |

I think you're all (except Ghaani) rating Seattle too low. In the pre-season, they went 4-0 and outright embarrassed Denver. I thought Hasselbeck was going to swallow his tongue on the sidelines. In the regular season, they're 2-0 and just defeated San Francisco 29-3. (Kaepernick lost a bet over it, but reneged -- his EA doppelganger shaved off an eyebrow, completing the collection of ways in which the digital version of himself is the better sportsman.) We'll see what happens with Houston. Despite the new stadium with the retracting roof, Seattle plays in the rain at home (see above, re: SF). Not sure if Houston can claim an advantage there if it comes to a Super Bowl, but Seattle has surprised the skeptics so far by walking right through teams that were supposed to smoke them. |

I totally called the whole Atlanta season =) you cannot make an executive decision to totally ignore the base foundation of your entire Super Bowl contending team by letting your Offensive and Defensive lines be a complete disaster and think you made your team better because you replaced one old running back in Michael Turner with another old running back in Steven Jackson. Julio, Roddy, Jackson could all be 100% healthy and not much would be different on this team, Matty Ryan would still be getting hammered nearly every play, your defensive line would still be getting gashed every play. but lets draft 2 CB's and sign Osi as a FA, that's all we needed to get this team over the top !! |

I have to apologize for my team this week -- we didn't win that game, the Rams just lost harder. |
