Yankees beat Braves in the World Series.

(I seriously doubt the Braves have the pitching to go that far, but who cares)

I love the Rangers and am more optimistic than any reasonable person who has been following them for the last decade should be, but lol. Will be nice to have Vlad jack 40 in the stadium though. Too bad their pitching rotation is one guy who was the #3 last year, the Three Stooges, and a sack of frostbitten potatoes.

Would be nice though.

Even without Joe Nathan I'm pretty sure the Twins and Cards are going to be nigh-unstoppable

I'm pretty much picking the same as Randy except I have the Rays winning the AL East and Boston being the wild card. The homer in me wants to say the Twins will win the series, but I think their hitting will be a little too streaky and the pitching a little too average and the closer a little to weak.

I don't really need them to have an opinion. Besides, I'm a philly boy so my picks are as follows:

AL East: Doesn't matter
AL Central: Doesn't matter
AL West: Doesn't matter
AL Wild Card: Doesn't matter
AL Champ: Doesn't matter

NL East: Phillies
NL Central: Doesn't matter
NL West: Doesn't matter
NL Wild Card: Doesn't matter
NL Champ: Phillies

World Series Champ: Phillies

I don't buy the hype for the Rangers. To revisit what was said about their starters - a #3, a retread, a former closer/setup guy, a former washout, and a guy with a pulse. Josh Hamilton won't play 100 games, Vlad will have a better year than last year but still below his career average. The decline of Michael Young will start this year and Ian Kinsler will revert to the power numbers of '08 with the avg of last year. Nelson Cruse will carry the offense for this team and may be the only All Star from the squad. I think they will start off April under .400 again and Ron "Snowman" Washington will be gone by early May. They will rebound with the new manager and finish 1 1/2 games behind Boston for the WC

Been busy and here are my picks:

AL East: Yankees
AL Central: Tigers
AL West: Angles
AL Wild Card: Boston
AL Champ: Yankees

NL East: Phillies
NL Central: St. Louis
NL West: Giants
NL Wild Card: Rockies
NL Champ: Giants

World Series Champ: Yankees

All the hype about the Rangers and Seattle are just that...hype. It's very early, but Oakland is playing very well, and Seattle (and my Angels) are having issues. It still too early to worry or jump ship...but the A's are doing well and might be in second place when everything is said and done...or hell they could take the West haha

Yanks take #28

Tampa Bay looks like they will be taking the AL East. They have been playing great on the road, and do not look like they will be slowing down anytime soon.

Atlanta came out of now where, and San Diego is on top of the NL West too lol. We will see how long it will last, but it's good to see some new faces at the top of their divisions.

Wow, I suck. Missed on Boston, Texas, LAA, St. Louis, Dodgers, and Phillies

So far, 3 out of 4 in the AL - 2 out of 4 in the NL (including the Braves -- I guess crack doesn't kill).

Man the NL West is a close race with the Rockies making a big push for the div! Who would had guessed San Diego would be in first place for soo long.

My Angels are having a bad year. I was at the game with Kendry Morales broke his leg. Not good and I knew the season was over at that point. Even tho the rest of the team is playing like crap. Losing Kendry was a huge lose for the team.

With the Elimination Number of 10, the Angels are pretty much out of the race in the AL West. The A's have a very small chance still, but I do believe the Rangers will win the division this year.

Good for them, and I hope the Rays or the Twins beat them down like no tomorrow. As for the Yankees, they are hurting right now and were swept this weekend in Texas. It will be interesting to see who wins the AL East this year.

I picked the wrong team for the AL CENTRAL because the Twins win the div tonight.

Also, the Dodgers are out of the race and my Angels will join them soon enough. Even tho we just won the series against the Rangers, but it's a little to late now. If we sweep, it's just delaying the Elimination by a few days haha.

NL Central: St. Louis pick is about to be wrong as well. Their magic number is 4.

In all fairness to Neesha, the Braves made it a FAR closer race than I'd have liked to see, so I take back my crack comment heh. But hey, at least it wasn't the Mets again ;P

They could still win the Wild Card (but they won't). I still say watch out for Colorado.

Yes the Rockies are going to win the West or maybe the Wild Card. It will be interesting to see how the NL West race ends soon
