We had a great season 8-1, our only loss was to the #1 team in the state who is also ranked in the top 50 nationally. Our regular season totals were 421-79 with 3 shutouts, OA-46.7 DA-8.7
We rolled through all 3 sectional games 38-21, 35-0 and 21-7, and won a state record 9th in a row Regional championship 31-14.
This week we play the same team that we lost to last year in Semi-State. Only difference this year is we are 100% healthy and our skill players have another year of experience. Last year we were down 4 starters at the beginning of the game and lost a 5th in a fluke sideline accident on the first punt return of the game. Their averages are OA-29.6 DA-17.3. Finishing the regular season at 6-3 outscoring their opponents 267-156 and no shutouts.
The boys are looking forward to a little revenge this Saturday. It should be a very emotional game as the Seniors motto this year is 'Vengeance upon thee".
