on the games so far...
Pittsburgh's running game is hurting. Something isn't right, I don't think that they have the personnel to run the stretch play right now. They need to run more quick running plays or incorporate more play action to open the middle. Which is odd for a Steelers franchise that is built around a strong running game.
Denver looked bad. Cincinnati looked worse. Was a horrible game.
Carolina will be down this year (until they can find a replacement for Jake) Looks like their cycle of good one year bad the next will continue.
I know it was against the Lions but the Saints' Offense looks explosive. They can score every time they get the ball. With a little defense and when the injured players get back they will be scary. Will know if they really are this explosive when they play the Philly D next week.
Atlanta looked good, their defense made Miami look slow. Tony G looks like a great fit here.
Dallas did what they were supposed to vs an over-matched Bucs. TB's defense (especially their secondary) is not there yet -- Giving up bombs to Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton is not the sign of a good secondary.
Minnesota is still figuring out the Favre thing. The first half was meh, then Brett realized that his best option is to hand it off to AP and his second best option is to hand it off to AP.
Cutler looked like every other Bear QB for the past decade (throwing the ball to guys wearing the other jerseys). If it wasn't for their D (which took a big loss when Urlacher got hurt) they would have been run out of the stadium.
Washington is the 4th best team in the NFC East. Physical, strong, but needs better play from their QB.
Should be interesting over the next few weeks about McNabb .
