Drew Brees: 353/546 for 28 TD's, 16 INT, 4,332 Yards, QB rating 93.9. His team is 7-7

Kurt Warner: 376/550 for 26 TD's, 13 INT, 4,290 Yards, QB rating 97.5. His team is 8-6

Yes, picking the QB with almost identical stats(slightly better, actually) from the team with a slightly better record is clearly bullshit! ;)

Brees' numbers have been put up without Colston, Shockey, Bush for a good part of the year

Warner gets to sling it up wth the 2 best WR's in the league

a retarded quadriplegic monkey could post fine numbers with Boldin and Fitzgerald, and Breaston

Brees is clearly the best QB in the NFC, has been for 3 years.

That's weak. The Saints also have a running game, and arguably a better offensive line, making the QB's job easier in that respect. You can make all the excuses you like, but both guys had amazing years, and either one is deserving of the pro bowl nod. Warner put up a little bit better numbers and got it.

A judgement call, perhaps, but far from bullshit. Even a homer should concede that.

Warner deserved it and should be in the MVP running. Who else would you give it to?

You are complaining and bickering about who is going to the NFL Pro Bowl game? The most meaningless, non-fun, half-assed exhibition game of the year in any major sport? The one that no player wants to play in... the one no fan watches at home... the game that no one in America cares about? And you are complaining?

I am quite sure Brees is not the least bit giving a damn that he is not starting. They are all in it for a free vacation to Hawaii as it is, and most of them don't care about that since they obviously make enough to go to Hawaii whenever they feel like it.

Complaining about who is starting for the NFL Pro Bowl is like getting mad that it is 2008. Seriously, get over it :)

While the game itself may not be important to most people, who got selected is. It's not that tough to figure out.

The original post is complaining that Warner is starting over Brees. It has nothing to do with who did not get in, which is a whole another topic in and of itself.

Bottom line is, the game is meaningless and inconsequential. Players only really care about going if they have some incentive clause in their contract, or if they want to take their family to Hawaii. Otherwise, I am sure most just don't care either way if they go or not.

As far as omissions... I am surprised that Calvin Johnson and Jonathan Abraham did not get selected. That was very shocking to me... Calvin is one of the top 5 receivers in the game, and Abraham has more sacks than any of the other defensive ends that are going.

Fan voting for all-star games sucks balls.

I remember at one point 22 of the 24 NFC starters were Washington Redskin players. I think it was within the first 2-3 weeks of initial fan voting. I really do wish that the fans would have kept that up so that the NFL Pro Bowl would essentially be AFC vs Washington Redskins. At least they could bring the "worst coach in America" with them :)

Stupid injuries. Brian Westbrook should have a permanent spot on the NFC squad.

Heh, no doubt. If that guy could stay healthy he'd be in all sorts of all-time lists.

Westbrook is one guy I simply cannot draft in any fantasy football league. The guy is a complete football player; however, he just gets injured way too much to sacrifice a possible 3-4 losses on the weeks he does not play. It is a shame really because he is the Philadelphia offense, no doubt about that.
