I just watched the Bronze medal match of 57kg Women's Taekwondo. It was Li-Wen Su (TPE) vs Martina Zubcic (CRO). Su came out to the match limping badly, and started the fight hopping on one leg. She then scores a head shot like 20 secs in. The fight was insane, Su kept falling down badly, looked like her left knee was just giving out over and over. She somehow kept getting up and fighting on. Both of them scored two head shots each and it ended in a tie after the three rounds. In the fourth Zubcic scored first and won the match. Ive just never seen anything like that, Id swear at one point Su got up and her leg was bent sideways at the knee. After the match Su's coach carried off on his back and she was in tears. Probably as close to a "karate kid" fight as youll ever get, Id catch the replay on nbc's website when it comes up. Also just finished watching the other Bronze medal match, Lopez of the US just won that in 4 rounds also.
