Someone invited me to a head to head league this year(presumably one of the managers from last years league, as that's the only fantasy baseball I've played.) and it got me to thinking about it again. It's a long way till football and I enjoyed last years league even though half the managers stopped playing. I was wondering if whoever set it up last time would do it again? I don't know enough about the scoring and such for baseball leagues to want to be commissioner, but I sort of want to join one that has an actual draft and isn't head to head, like we had last year. Anyway, thought I'd throw it out there.

Ya I was thinking of that today. I set it up last year so if there is enough interest we can do it again, but some of the people that didnt do anything last year shouldnt come back this year .

If you can, look at the league from last year and don't allow the people that weren't somewhat active to participate

I have done football for the past three years, and basketball for the prior two years. How difficult is baseball to do... as in, is it something you have to maintain on a daily basis like basketball? Or just once or twice a week like football? I assume daily, but never having done baseball not sure...

It is a daily thing. With a roto league you need to keep injured and slumping players on the bench and active productive players playing. You need to make sure that you do not go over the number of innings pitched and games played limit and you need to keep an eye on all the catagories so that you don't lose one or two before the All-Star Break (that can be done in a roto league)

If your team is crusing, you don't have to make daily adjustments, but you don't need to leave it alone for too long because in baseball the whole season counts.

I'd be up for it again if we can get enough players while avoiding the deadbeat managers from last year.

It is alot more time consuming than ofter fantasy sports, but the payoff is better too. If you stay active you can turn your entire team around, how you fare in the draft isn't as important as in other sports. There's lots of waiver action, and you'll see dramatic changes if you manage your players well.

I will take this idea under consideration! .... hopefully my team doesn't tank the last fifth of the season this year

I'll play, usually I've just done the ESPN leagues for last 7 years or so but I'm game.

Opening day in less than 2 weeks. Set up a draft for this weekend or next and see if we can get 10 teams maybe?
