This is for a money league I play in with RL friends, but it's really about bragging rights so I'm stressing a bit.

I get:

L. Evans
(Buf - WR)

J. Lewis
(Bal - RB)

S. Jackson
(StL - RB)

I give up:

B. Westbrook
(Phi - RB)

M. Barber III
(Dal - RB)

B. Wade
(Ten - WR)

I give up Barber who has been producing but is a backup for Jamal Lewis who is the starter.

I give up Westbrook who has had knee problems all year for Steven Jackson who is just a stud.

I give up B. Wade who really only gets points for returns in exchange for Lee Evans on a suspect Bills offense.

Whatcha think?

One of the bottom feeders in the league. I'm thinking his motivation is getting a win this week against the commissioner, whom everyone wants to beat. Jackson and Lewis are both on byes this week so he now has a chance to win by plugging Westbrook and Barber. Which I'm down for because I want the commish to lose too.

The trade hurts me in that I'm no longer a lock to win this week with 2 RBs on bye weeks but it helps alleviate a serious week 9 bye problem I had.

That trade probably wouldn't even pass in my league. We have safeguards to prevent people from being in collusion or from just making totally screwed up trades.

We have preventions in place as well but I don't think this trade is so lopsided that it shouldn't be approved. I wouldn't even call it lopsided.

Here are how the fantasy points break down in my league (we don't use return yards):

Steven Jackson -- 132
Lee Evans -- 84
Jamal Lewis -- 72

Brian Westbrook -- 124
Marion Barber -- 62
Bobby Wade -- 30

In my league:
Steven Jackson -- 81.55
Lee Evans -- 35.85
Jamal Lewis -- 42.70

Brian Westbrook -- 83.85
Marion Barber -- 48.50
Bobby Wade -- 29.90

Pretty fair trade.

Honestly, I was surprised Westbrook was as high as he was when I went back and looked at the stats. He's having a much better year than I realized. I'd still make the trade in a heartbeat, though.

Judging by points in my league, it looks like a pretty even trade. But I still don't trust Westbrook to stay healthy the rest of the year, and Barber's opportunities will be limited unless/until Jones gets hurt. In return you get a workhorse of a RB and a #1 WR (at least what passes for one in Buffalo).

I'd do it in a heartbeat, especially if you have RBs to plug in for this week while the Rams have a bye.

And Westbrook was held out of a game to rest his knee and still put up those numbers. I'd do the trade in a second though, because Westbrook is more likely to miss more time this year due to injury.

In my league I have Westbrook AND Jackson, so I may be biased ;)

jamal lewis may also be getting more carries, now that jim fossel is gone as offensive coordinator. i know billick has always been a lewis fan (or, at least i have read/heard), and now it seems that billick is taking over play calling.

it is a really lopsided trade in your favor. evans is a top receiver, and losman is playing better than he has. granted, buffalo's offense is not that great... but a better playing qb could mean an extra score or two for evans. and steven jackson is, well, steven jackson...

btw, i will be entertaining offers for matt leinart if anyone is interested in him. looking for either a tier 2 running back, or a tier 1 receiver however... doubt anyone would give up that for him, but never hurts to ask...
