Anyone else playing this? It's been my new game of the season.

I've gotten rather good at Rammus (Tank build) if anyone would like to play an arranged team game.

As always, game name is Garborg.

I never played DotA, but I've been enjoying this game. I have played much lately due to the combination of the holidays and Modern Warfare 2, but I still try to get a game in here and there. I tend to use support characters, and having been playing mostly Soraka.

I tried to pick up Dota this year and it was just too many key combination you need to memorize for each character. Was rather annoying trying to learn all the item and spell combination for each of the 100 characters.

LoL is much more noob friendly.

I'm tempted to try both this and Heroes of Newerth just to see what I like more. I've heard that League of Legends is more suitable to people who don't have any experience with DOTA, while Heroes of Newerth is a little more hardcore and true to old school DOTA gameplay. I sorta hope one of these has something similar to the WC3 Banlist(God I loved that program) so that horrible players don't get into the good games.

Heroes of Newerth is pretty fun.

Been playing the beta for a while now.

I play Rammus a lot. Here is my tips for Rammus Tank build.

Defensive mastery tree.
Ghost and Cleanse summon spells.

Item: First 3 always the same. After that depends on game but 80% of the time get #4 below.

(Start with Cloth Armor +3 Health and +1 Mana Pots... head back with 675gold for #1... or if need to head back early get more pots)

1. Heart of Gold (Helps with low income as tank)
2. Chalice of Harmony (Helps with mana problems)
3. Boots of Mobility (Makes for crazy map roaming capability with Powerball and Ghost)
4. Thorn Mail (With high armor and this 25% reflect, physical carries literally eat themselves, they deal more damage to themselves than you)

Other items after the above...
Warden's Mail is cheap Armor
Sunfire Cape good Health and armor, helps a lot with getting assists in team fights
Aegis of the Legion is good for team fights (Aura Buff)
Frozen Heart has great armor, get if you feel you need the cooldown reduc

Magic Resist: Stack these when up against magic heavy team...

Yea I've been playing this a bit as well. I really want to try Karthus since he looks like a Zeus from DOTA. Nothing like piling on +magic items and doing a couple of zone-wide lightning bolts. I remember a point where I got Zeus so powered up that no hero had the hp to withstand the attacks and I just kept killing them when they respawned. Pure hilarious. Doubt that can happen in LoL, but probably still fun to use =D

I like the Veigar due to all the DD spells he has i can kick butt with em!

Finally after 6 months, I have my first custom skin!

So... resurrecting an old thread!

My son got me hooked on this game over the summer. I'm late to the party, but wondering if anyone is still playing. Several of my friends will only play bot games, which is kinda lame, and solo queue for pvp is kind of a crapshoot. I wouldn't mind having some regular players to look up for games.

I have it installed but I don't have it patched current or have played it in a while, to busy with school and work. blah!
