Late Wednesday, Activision Blizzard (nasdaq: ATVI - news - people ) reported a quarterly loss of 5 cents per share, due in part to charges related to its combination in July with Vivendi Games. On an adjusted basis, earnings totaled 31 cents per share, beating the average analyst estimate by 2 cents per share according to a Thomson Reuters poll.
