Omg help a n00b and tell me a good build for a Necro and a Sorceress (just for the single player stuff)! I haven't played this game in eleventy years and I don't know what I am doing! |

Necro: Either go bone tree or pump up skeleton summons. Both are good, but bone requires no summons at all and is better on Hell difficulty. In either case abuse corpse explosion thoroughly. Sorc: 1 Warmth, 1 Teleport, 1 Static Field, 20 Frozen Orb, 20 Cold Mastery, 20 Telekinesis, and spend rest on: Energy Shield, and Ice Bolt Sarissa Candyangel |

How about some subcategories like we have in MMO's for PCGames? Categories like Diablo, Starcraft, etc. |

I read one thread about a build where the Sorcerer ports around with the aura that damages stuff near him. That seemed interesting! |

Probably static field, it's uh, nice, but synergies are the way to go. SF won't actually kill stuff, just damages them. If you can get someone to run you through Normal up to Baal and hit level 25 you can do baal run games all the way to 45/50 on normal on Battle.net I think all my old characters are long since dead now, plus they were the last ladder. If I can remember right.... Trist runs to 10, tomb runs to 15, after that I just can't remember. But you can do baal run games at 25 and gain a level or 2 every run until 40ish, then it slows down slightly. Inside 30 hours you should be able to hit 70. If I was set to do it I could probably hit 70 in around 20. |

Well, I really don't plan on playing online (I have WoW for that), I just wanted to fart around solo. Online, do you just play the game from start to finish over and over? |

Yeah, same thing you do on single player, lol. You can just do runs with other people to level faster. |

Cool. What are Trist runs/Tomb runs? I assume you go in the Tombs or whatever and kill crap, but how do you do multiple "runs"? Do the mobs respawn when you go back in? I honestly can't remember. |

If you are going zookeeper for a necro, pump Raise Skeleton before skeleton mastery. Early game life you get more out of a zerg than you do beefing them up. Revive can easily be gotten by putting 1 point into it. Anything else is kind of a waste. +skill items will pump this skill up for you. Skeleton Mages are bad. At least they were when I built a zookeeper. They have very bad AI and are too much hassle to keep out. The majority of your big damage is in Corpse Explosion end game. |

The reason to spend those points is for the synergy the regular skeletons gain. Low level people run tristram to get up to 10 or so, maybe it's 15, I can't remember. Tomb runs are runs through the tombs at the end, you just cycle through each one and back out as fast as possible and into the next one. Edit: Now that that build page actually loaded, it only had 1 point in it anyway. |

They get owned in hell, of course when I talk about Diablo 2 I'm pretty much only talking about Hell difficulty because that's all I ever played. |
