Thanks. I'm not sure I want to know more than that.

It has more leaders, some new units. Bunch of custom scenarios. A new espionage system with spy units, great spies and unique buildings.

I was under the impression from looking at the box that the Space Race was not an ending to the game, and Future Tech might be replaced with new things. Not the case. The sci fi stuff apparently is only in the included bonus scenarios, which include rule changes and new units. Some have dieties that you must appease and eliminate other cultures that oppose yours. Others are new created civilizations in a new galaxy where you create/research things more futuristic. Almost reminds me of Masters of Orion. But not that piece of this MoO 3. That game sucked.

So more of the same really. Worth the buy if you liked Warlords. Easily enough stuff to keep people that are already enjoying playing the game with what they have, busy for even longer.

I have heard different things, so hoping for a true answer-

From what I have heard, Beyond the Sword has all the content and units and leaders and stuff that Warlords has EXCEPT for the scenarios. Therefore, if you don't care about playing scenarios... then you don't need to buy Warlords and can just buy Beyond the Sword.

Fact or fiction?

I believe that would fall in line with past Civ expansions.
