Does anyone know of a newer kick ass RPG game that does not need an internet connection? I already have Oblivion. I'd like any and all recommendations. Anything else there worth looking at? Thanks.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is pretty good, although you'll need the patches to make it more playable. I really enjoyed it up to the part where you had to manage some castle, and I quickly lost intrest in it once I got to that point. To me that part killed the immersion into the role, and made it into a resource management game.

Just browse gamespot.com/ for pc and then do "RPG" then "top rated" and see if anything piques your interest. i'm sure there hasnt been any great rpg's since oblivion though.

If you like FPS at all you might check out Stalker. Its kind of an rpg no stats to speak of but you run around doing quests, collecting gear, shooting zombies. If you liked Fallout its kind of like that but in first person format.

Jade Empire was released on PC recently, it's worth playing if you haven't already played it on XBOX. It's the same company and style of gameplay as KOTOR.

There's also Titan Quest and it's newish expansion, Immortal Throne. It's more of a Diablo-ish type game and is set in the world of Greek/Roman mythology. It's fairly entertaining if you like that kind of game, but some of the classes make the game incredibly easy.

Also, Pokémon Diamond/Pearl comes out for the DS on April 22nd and it is better than any computer games so you might as well just sell your computer and play nothing but Pokémon. The frog creature in my sig is from the Diamod/Pearl and, as you can tell, it kicks all kinds of ass and is just a small sample of how great this new version of Pokémon is. There are also new evolutions for Magmar, Lickitung, Elecatbuzz and a bunch of awesome older pokemon that you need to trade in from Fire Red/Leaf Green/Ruby/Emerald, so you should probably make sure you have all 386 Pokémon from the previous generations before April 22nd.
