this is probably a stupid question, sorry in advance.

part of demos is determining if you like the gameplay or not. however, does a demo also realistically showcase how well the game will play on your specific computer or not?

specifically, i am interested in getting the star wars rts game. if i download the demo and install and play it, would i expect the exact same type of choppiness/lag/etc from the demo that the real version gives? or do real versions of games typically work better and look better, so that demos are not really a good way of determing if your computer can handle the game?

Empire at war? Yea, as long as your demo has the land mission. Since land missions are the only graphic intensive part of that game.

Just torrent it, you can see how it runs and if you like it you can buy it.

In some cases yes, in some others no.

Titan quest ran great demo wise, but the same fucking level retail ran like total shit on my computer until there was a patch out, go figure.
