Comcast dudes came and went. Did a few tests-- sadly my internet was working just fine.<

They found a very loose connection in my box outside and tightened it up. Hopefully that was the problem.<

As for a permanent solution, it's in the works. It wasn't Comcast, it's something with my router. I have a few friends who are more knowledgeable in such things coming over to take a look over the next few days.<

*important* I backed this game up by one turn (I save the game every turn). I believe that most of the 24 hours of the current turn were missed, and I think it would be fair to give people a chance to catch it again.<

Silly Question..<
>
<
>
The workers can make Roads and other Improvements. It also offers for them to make an automated Trade Route. If I make a road from one city to another, is that considered a Trade Route? Or, is there something else to it?<

If you have open borders with another civ, your workers will make roads that connect to theirs when you automate them.<
>
<
>
As far as your own cities, trade routes makes roads from your farms, towns, mines, etc, to your cities. So that it is easier and faster to get troops and supplies to and from different areas that you own. Shadow Jeris Elvenblade<

How about this? Why don't we kick and let the AI play people's turns when they have to go out of town for a few? When they get back, they can just rejoin.<
>
<
>
That way, no one gets the advantage of seeing how people are arrayed, and yet the player can defend against attacks / research, respond to threats, etc.<

I'm hoping it has fixed a few pit boss bugs (like no free tech for Fin, and the fact that we can't use passwords).<

I will keep this version going for now, as it works, but this afternoon expect the game to be down for a few if I find a way to transfer it to the newer pitboss program (rumors are it's possible).<

Hopefully tonight I'll have it up, and the goal is to have it under Civ4 1.61.<

Not being able to upgrade Civ4 to 1.61 for the entire game would suck, so trying to figure out if we can switch it (mixed reports on various message boards so far, and I haven't gotten pitboss going yet due to company).<

Anyway, the game isn't running right now, so no one is missing turns.<

I located and installed the required dlls. The newer version seems to now require Civ4 on the computer it's installed into, as it appears to be attempting to load Civ4 when it runs.<
>
<
>
I do have Civ4 installed on that other computer, but it can't run (under the specified requirements for the game. When i try to run Pitboss, I get a Civ4 error that stops everything from going.<
>
<

I haven't yet figured out what I"m going to do. I've also been rather busy.<

if it turns out that cannot load this game on Civ4 1.161 and pitboss, which would you folks prefer?<

1. We keep going. Everyone keeps a working Civ4 1.51 on their computer to play the game.<
>
<

2. We say fuck it and quit.<

I would rather find a way to keep the game going, but keeping two copies of Civ4 installed on my computer (1.51 and 1.61) kinda blows.<
