If you believe a word that comes out of Ted Cruz's mouth, then may the FSM help you.

Someone has to take up the opposing viewpoint. Sure it is spin, just like everything else.

Whether you support them or not, believing that the ACA and amnesty legislation are well thought out is a sign of profound mental illness.

Good news for Ted Cruz though, now that he's unemployable he can get affordable health coverage.

This is the guy the Republican party is grooming for 2016.

He didn't have the support of his own party to do a proper filibuster against the bill he spent a year campaigning against, and failed to win any votes with his pseudo-buster that did nothing to prevent a vote from being cast. He might recover by 2016, but he'll have to overcome the colossal failure that his first time out was.

He's done.

if Republicans wanna win the WH in 2016, they need to get behind Christie, but they won't because the tea party wing has never forgiven him and still blame him for Romney losing (boggle)

2012 was the first time I've ever voted for a non republican since I turned 18 and began to vote
but I sure could get behind Christie for Prez, at this stage anyway

I think the last Republican I was willing to vote for was Ronald Reagan (Walter Mondale was a goddamn alien), but that's probably not abnormal during the Bush Saga. I'm open to the concept, but the whole party is so transparently obsessed with acquisition of control rather than anyone else's interests, it's hard for me to even appear impartial nowadays. That party desperately needs new leadership.

Cruz isn't it.

That sums up my opinion of both parties. Neither is worth backing if you at all care about yourself. Otherwise it's a choice between subsidizing the place you work or the people you live across to tracks from.

i liked mccain until he pandered to the religious right, and grabbed palin the alaskan beauty queen
then it was a shit sandwich

romney was just too much the 1% that 47% comment killed him

chris crisco is a moderate, and his own party will eat him alive

sometimes i feel bad for the GOP with the tea baggers, but then I remember the dems with nader
same crazy, different party

Anything that snaps voters out of apathy, and can be channeled, is an advantage. It will be interesting to see how 2014 goes.

the difference being that the Tea Party is incredibly well bankrolled (a ten-page article, but worth the read).
