Who exactly is the "they" in your question? If you are talking about any mainstream political group in the US, then I ask you to defend your stance with sources, as I know of none that are trying to legislate a forced buy-back gun program in the US. If you are talking about some fringe political group-- who cares? It won't happen anyway.

Worthy seems to believe everything he reads without any sort of internal filter. Like my mother in law.

Nothing at a state or federal government level, a few cities have VOLUNTEER buy backs in place, and have had for some time.

Yes, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But that isn't what the video talks about.

I believe "They" = the government (state and federal)

Going out on a limb here, what I think Worthy was trying to say is that the banning of firearms has been proven not to cut down on crime as promised but by the proof of other federal governments stats violent crime overall has risen dramatically.

I think this whole topic is just like Gay Marriage and Abortion, there is no real one answer or solution to it, people have there opinions and will not waver from them, the only differences is owning a gun is a right guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution weather or not to use that right is up to you.
