President Obama VS General McChrystal. This is like King Kong VS that giant turtle (whatever his name was). Anyway, my question for all of you is should the Commander in Chief be required to spend time in the military? It’s a respect thing. There is a problem when your President garners zero respect from the military brass he is supposed to lead. The situation in Afghanistan is very similar. No military warrior wants an outsider who seems uninterested and uninformed about the Afghan War, telling them what to do. Our leaders on the ground in the Middle East have been in the thick of the fight for 10 years! General McChrystal has seen his wife a total of 30 days per year for the last decade. He has served this county with honor and pride. General McChrystal is a patriot and a true American hero. What is Obama???

The question is not interesting, it's stupid. One thing that makes America great is that the military is not a path to political power.

One thing that makes America great is that the military is not a path to political power. While it has served as a path to the presidency in the past, in general it is not how you gain power... and it's not something we want.

Bottom line is that even if Obama is a huge douchebag, McChrsystal is a bigger douchebag. He violated one of the most sacred rules of the military. If someone did to him what he did to the administration, he would have had them castrated.

Fuck him and the shame he's brought on the military, the presidency, and our country.
