What is the deal with this guy? Is he off his meds?

First, he says that they "misread how bad the economy was", prompting a rebuttal from his boss.

Then, in the same interview, he said the US would not stand in the way of Israel in its dealings with Iran's nuclear ambitions, prompting *another* rebuttal/clarification from his boss. This was the worst of the two, actually, as he is supposed to be the foreign policy "expert" and could derail all of the careful work the admin has done in dealing with Iran up to now.

These are beyond gaffes. This isn't like getting the number of states in the US, or a Dan Quayle misspelling. He is putting his own administration off message and just acting like an idiot.

His wording on that just seemed a little overly blunt, is all. In the "clarifications" that you posted, the administration really says the same things he said, just in a more touchy-feely-friendly way.

Somehow I don't think the official line coming out of the White House is that the US controls and is responsible for the actions of foreign nations.

Biden reminds me a lot of Palin.

I don't think either one have a concept of the scrutiny they are now under.
