Do you got a favorite or 2?
Why do you like them?
Do watch them because you think they are an idiot and they make you laugh?
Do you have similar opinions?
Where do you disagree?
What do you think of the people that call in?
Do you watch them because they are a hottie?
Do you have a favorite news source (CNN, FOX, MSNBC, CNBC, NPR, etc.)

I start with aggregators and if I'm especially bored will check the major news web sites as well. I read just about everyone somewhat regularly, but these are the ones I check every day more or less.

RealClearPolitics.com
DrudgeReport.com
Huffpost.com

are the 3 big aggregators I check religiously.

Blogs:

Ann Althouse
Andrew Sullivan
Hotair.com
Instapundit.com
Glenn Greenwald (salon)

I check those every day, but am about to dump Althouse, she's gotten to blogging about ducks and country farmhouses and random shit. I will check other Atlantic bloggers when I see something on the aggregators from them, or if I want to see their reaction to a specific issue. If there's something bad about Obama in the mainstream media I will check Kos to gloat at the suffering there, but otherwise I find Kos to be a bit too rabidly idealistic, kind of like RedState.com - over the top. I used to read Thinkprogress.org a lot, they were great when Dems were the opposition party.

Major news sites:

CNN.com
FT.com
NYTimes.com
Washingtonpost.com
WSJ.com

Bloggingheads - Love, love, love this site, you get exposed to all kinds here. My favorite regulars include Dan Drezner, Mickey Kaus, Robert Wright, Gershom Gorenberg, Reihan Salam, Eric Alterman, Conn Carroll, Eli Lake, Heather Hurlburt, Megan Mcardle, Matt Welch, John Mcwhorter, Glenn Loury and that's just off the top of my head. Lots more for everyone on the political spectrum.
Glenn Greenwald for me too.
Huffingtonpost
Talking Points Memo- multiple times daily.
The Cunning Realist

I read alot of other random sites randomly, but these are the regulars.

I've got a no cable TV experiment going, so I don't watching any TV news any more. But my favorites are:
Chris Matthews, I enjoy his excitement for politics.
Rachel Maddow, she's so fucking smart.
Pat Buchanan, I just like the crotchety old guy.
Lou Dobbs is an old favorite of mine for his populism, haven't watched him for awhile now, but I did name my dog after him. :)
David Shuster

TV Pundits I cannot fucking stand:
Glenn Beck
Wolf Blitzer
Sean fucking Hannity

And then there's NPR, I just can't function in the morning without my Morning Edition.

I was about to say -- all krby has to do is add neal boortz to his list and he's got the right wing douchebag trifecta.

Gotcha! Ha ha ha ha. I wanted to put what you expected me to put. I HATE Ann Coulter and have posted here how much I wish she would go away. Hannity is a blowhard that just likes to shout at people. Rush is entertainment.

my list is Drudge, AP news wire (set on my Yahoo page) The Reg, and Hot Air. I still ready my daily newspaper (Dallas Morning News) and I still read the Arkansas Democrat Gazette on-line even though I haven't lived there for five years.

Cripes Krby, I was gonna say...

Sad fact is, that's what a lot of people use for their news sources. And it's not only on the right, there's left wing equivalents that are just as bad.

For me-

http://www.cnn.com/
http://news.bbc.co.uk/
http://slashdot.org/

I generally watch my news on BBC America, and sometimes on CNN. Never, ever watch the local news.

What is it about Drudge? There are better aggregators and it's the Myspace of the news world.

Better aggregators... like? I agree it's not the best, but it's not the worst, and there's enough distinction to make it worth a glance.

I read Drudge to get the right-leaning perspective to balance against the left-leaning perspective of Huffington Post. Drudge is still capable of breaking major stories, and it's important to know what the most popular, influential news sites are leading with.

I hate Rachel Maddow for some reason. I think it is her tilted mouth.

Post election, I don't even watch the news. Every once in awhile I will still turn on c-span (Washington News Journal) for a couple of hours in the morning for background noise.

I might catch the Daily Show and Colbert once a week or so (I know, they aren't "news"). But other than that, meh.

As cynical as I was before the election, I am about 200x now. If I follow politics and see what these assholes are doing, it just infuriates me and I know there is nothing I can do about it. So, I watch Good Eats and that's that.

My brother in law went to school with that dude.

And yeah, Maddow is hard to look at. Her voice isn't much better, though I think she's actually pretty good, especially compared to Olbermann.

I work in a command center where we have 4 TVs on the news 24/7.

Morning Express with Robin Meade (Not just hawt but also got some sassiness or Chutzpah or something)

The Daily Show w/ John Stewart. Sometimes, this is more informational than the real news.
The Colbert Report w/ Stephen Colbert (If you get the chance, check out his interview with Cookie Monster at ColbertNation.com)
Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, Campbell Brown, Jack Cafferty and just about anyone on CNN. (Most of Fox and MSNBC give me the heebie jeebies)
Brian Williams. Funny
Rachel Maddows is pretty cool.
Bill O'Reilly has his moments (in both directions :? ).
Chris Mathews
When I listen to NPR I can't help but feel a bit more informed. :)
Mad Money with Jim Cramer (awesome in Iron Man)
Ellen Degeneres. Her daytime show is funny. Not much news but it can be topical.
SNL Week-End Update.
NWCN (North West Cable News which I think covers Washington, Idaho and Oregon).

As for things I can't stand:
Rush Limbaugh :violent1: (I will give the guy credit for making a popular radio show that makes some money).
Glenn Beck :pukeleft:
Ann Coulter (Proof that Satan exists) :snakeman:
Fox and Friends :butthead: (trying to compete with Robin Meade and failing)
Nancy Grace (in real life I can't stand her but she was PERFECT in Hancock)
The View :mumum:

NPR is doing a drive for donations this week. Not sure if it's just the ATL bureau right now or NPR-wide. Very annoying.

It's a tradeoff that's well worth it. They do donation drives twice a year for 2 weeks or so. You put up with it those four weeks, and you get 11 months of basically commercial free radio.

I'm an NPR junkie.

One nice thing about NPR in Boston and in San Antonio is that each city has two stations. One does mostly classical, jazz, and world music. The other does mostly news, with some weekend entertainment (Prarie Home Companion, Car Talk, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me).

I have nothing against classical music, but I use NPR for news and information. I like having Diane Rehm, Fresh Air, Marketplace, etc. to listen to when I drive, clean, etc. I know the two station format is kind of rare - I'll have to wiki NPR in Atlanta.

My NPR stations, and as I understand many others, use HD radio. HD1 will do the news and info, HD2 will do the music or vice versa. I need to get me an HD radio. I too use NPR for news and information for the most part.

Bearne -- 90.1FM is the local NPR affiliate, but they mostly do music with a few of the NPR shows throughout the day.

I will say that there are about 4 chicks in the conservative pundit space that I'd really love to see naked (NOT Coulter). Why are conservative chicks both better looking and crazier than their liberal counterparts? Are there any hot liberal pundit chicks?

TV Anchors don't count. Stop cheating.

I'm going to go with Megan McCain. She's getting more political now so I think she qualifies.

At first I thought he was being sarcastic, but then I remembered who he was. So I'll say, McCain is a cute young woman and is not at all fat. I like my women with curves, unlike you silly white guys. :)

Megan McCain is only fat if you consider Man Coulter and Calista Flockhart to be normal sized.

Megan McCain is cute. Anyone who says she's fat is an idiot. Especially Laura Ingraham.

BTW, for those of you who haven't heard about Journolist, you should read about it. Mickey Kaus got a hold of a discussion on the list and posted the e-mails, and it's pretty amusing to watch these fuckwads go after each other.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/blogs/kausfi ... cabal.aspx

JournoList is pretty appalling, frankly. As a guy who worked with newspapers for 12 years and cares a bit about journalistic objectivity, things like this give credence to all the criticism out there that most journalism is biased.

(JournoList is a secret e-mail list with only liberal members, from pubs like the NY Times, Politico, and lots of bloggers) and the first rule of the list is, apparently, you don't talk about what happens on the list. It's there for them to compare ideas and, if you're a cynical bastard like me, collude on themes.
